The best way to get to know Kingston

To Stay
Uncomplicated Accomodation
The Queen’s Inn

Located in the heart of downtown, this Inn (probably the oldest continuous operating Inn in Canada) doesn’t have a pool or Jacuzzis, just good old-fashioned accommodation in the central business district. Owned by the same family for close to half a century. It retains its original charm.

St. Lawrence College Residences

The residences offer a double room with private bathroom for $69.00 per night. A single goes for $55.00. While this is not within easy walking distance of the tour, it is on a bus route and in a lovely location (across from a city park on the waterfront). If you do walk downtown, take a look at Portsmouth village along King Street. This former fishing village was the setting for the sailing Olympics and has a wonderful harbour- next door to the maximum security, Kingston Penitentiary where some of Canada's worst reside.

Brock Street Bed and Breakfast

Located only 15 minutes away from Kingston’s Tourist office, the Brock Street Bed and Breakfast is an inexpensive alternative to staying in a hotel. Owned and operated by Science '44 Co-op Kingston Student Housing, Brock Street B&B caters to all individual needs by providing, single, double and triple rooms as well as full house accommodations to fit your family needs.

The Belvedere Hotel

This is a unique hotel in the heart of the 19th century soon to be (we hope!) the Old Sydenham Heritage Conservation District. Walking around the neighbourhood is a delight. An added bonus – the owners LIVE there so you are assured of great service and quiet surroundings.

Historic Bed and Breakfast Inns of Kingston

These are as advertised, and are delightful additions to the historic district in Kingston. They constitute some of the remarkable 19th century architecture Kingston has been fortunate to preserve.

Green Woods B&B - The Other BBC - Bed, Breakfast and Conversation

Run by an English couple with a strong culinary streak. "The other BBC - Bed, Breakfast and Conversation". Yes they have a couple of single beds, for those of you who have children. A great green setting.

Good B&Bs
Bon Accord

A bit different. Not your classic family B&B. This one is purpose built and each 'room' contains a mini kitchen and sitting area. Owned and run by artists and it looks great.

Jean's Guest House

A family B&B, very popular and VERY clean, with a wonderful back yard for those who visit during the green season.

The Tymparon Inn

The Tymparon Inn is a restored heritage, 1865, three guest room B&B located between the start of the UNESCO World Heritage Rideau Canal and the UNESCO World Heritage Fort Henry, The Innkeepers, Zoe and Don know quite a bit about the Kingston area and are always happy to share their knowledge with their guests.
